The Department of Accounting and Finance (ACFN) in the School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks applicants for one faculty position in ACFN effective Fall Semester 2013.
Accounting open rank, tenured or tenure earning: Candidates should hold an appropriate doctorate and show evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. The candidates will be required to conduct quality research and teach classes at the undergraduate and masters levels. Additionally, the candidates will be expected to build relationships with the business community and foster student opportunities in the accounting area.
UAB has excellent teaching facilities and support, including numerous multimedia classrooms and computer equipment and software to meet scholarly research needs. The faculty is expanding and is supported by the administration.
Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled. The expected starting date of the appointment is August 15, 2013. Salary is competitive.
